Image to Text (Using AI) is a Chrome extension that leverages artificial intelligence to create descriptive captions for any image. Simply open the toolbar interface, select an image file, and press Start. The AI engine, powered by Transformers.js and VIT GPT-2, processes the image locally after an initial one-time download of the model data. This tool works offline once loaded and is ideal for quickly generating alt text or social media captions. Note that it may occasionally produce inaccurate captions.
